Auckland is the commercial capital of New Zealand which makes it a great place to work. As a full-time student in New Zealand, you are allowed to work while you study for up to 20 hours a week during term time, or full-time during Christmas holidays. This can help you gain valuable work experience, improve your English language skills, and make new friends, as well as being a source of income.
After you have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at a New Zealand university, you will be able to apply for a three year open work visa. This means that you can remain in New Zealand to look for work for up to three years.
