The Pre-Foundation Programme is a 22-23 week programme, designed for students who do not meet the academic or English entry requirements for the Auckland Foundation Year.
On this course you will receive an introduction to the core subjects that you will be studying at foundation level.
You will receive high quality academic tuition, as well as one-to-one support from your teachers, to ensure you are ready to begin the Auckland Foundation Year at the end of the programme.
We will help you develop and improve your English language skills throughout the programme.
There are two intake dates available, based on the planned intake date for your foundation course.
Once you have successfully completed the Pre-Foundation Programme you will progress to the Auckland Foundation Year Standard Programme. This programme is held on the same campus, so you will be familiar with your study environment and the friendly teaching staff at Taylors College Auckland.
In this course you will study three core subjects and two out of three elective subjects.
Programme length: 22 weeks (January), 23 weeks (July)
Minimum age: 16
Intakes: January and July
English language requirement: IELTS score of 4.5 (writing no less than 4.5) or approved equivalent

Qualification title: New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills (Level 2). This course, developed by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, is delivered by Study Group NZ Limited trading as Taylors College.
Due to recent changes in regulations, effective from 01 January 2019, students studying the Pre-Foundation Programme at Taylors College Auckland must achieve an IELTS score or other internationally recognised English test outcome as required by NZQA to gain entry to the AFY programme.
